Second Thoughts Draft

The one thing that can keep you up at night more than your BRFL pick is the BRFL pick you didn't take.

So here is a chance to publicly display your angst and devour your intestinal lining for, oh, I dunno, the next four months or so, over the team you didn't take.

The rules are easy on this: Pick a team you would draft if we did this over today. You can pick a team that has already been picked in the regular draft and you can select a team that is already on this list. Maybe I will score your fantasy points, but probably not. Maybe there will be an award for the most regrettable pick. Probably not.

But it is fun to see just how badly you blew it when money was on the line. Cuz sometimes, we do things we later regret.

* First Pick in the 2012 BRFL draft belonged to Mind Freak. Due to excessive pussiness, Mind Freak is taking a financial redshirt this season. By default, number one overall pick goes to ScoTush, who promptly wasted it. My mind is...blown.

Countdown to the Draft

Another youth already corrupted by the unwholesome influence of the BRFL.
Sad, really.
Oh well. It's time for draft days! The most wonderful days of the year.
The only days when nobody's losing money. Yet.

Scott, you're on the clock starting midnight tonight. Make it count, Mister.

Bad luck, TurdNibblers. Your losses are my gains.

Public Service Announcement

Not college football, but further proof your BRFL overlords have your best interest at heart. Ditch the condom receipt, they ain't tax deductible (Your BRFL losses are, however). And if your wife finds the receipt, head butt the bitch.

Chad Johnson, Evelyn Lozada, Icon SMI

Miami Dolphins receiver Chad Johnson has been arrested on domestic violence charges in Davie, Florida. Davie police Capt. Dale Engle says Johnson and his wife were at dinner Saturday and she confronted him about a receipt she had found for a box of condoms. His wife, Evelyn Lozada, is on the reality show, Basketball Wives, and the couple married July 4. Engle says when they arrived at their driveway, Lozada says Johnson head-butted her. She was treated at a hospital for a forehead cut. Engle told the NFL Network that Johnson claimed they accidentally bumped heads during the argument.

Urban Meyer will be home for dinner

Think the Commish is tempted to pick his beloved Buckeyes? There's a new Commander-in-Cheat down in Columbus and he's a changed man. And the Scarlet and Gray are unranked. Very tempting. Very tempting indeed.I bet Jimmy's just busting a gut hoping they will be available when he picks. Anyone going to step up and select the home team and make him bust a nut sack?
Urban Meyer, Icon Sports

Short on linebackers during last season's Ohio State-Michigan game, dinged-up Ryan Shazier remained on the field with a brace bolstering the left knee to which he had sustained a sprained ligament in the second quarter. "I watched that [the Michigan] game on TV, and Shazier didn't play very good," [Urban Meyer] said. A ragged chorus of reporters noted that Shazier was hurt. An Ohio State publicist piped up: "Coach, he was really hurt." "The dog ate my homework," Meyer said. "He didn't play very well. Linebackers have to play dinged up a little bit. The great ones do." Meyer's remarks were so at odds with the perception of Shazier as to seem cold, crude and uninformed.

More on how Mrs. Meyer will be sorely disillusioned this year:

Researchin' the Golden Domers

Is this the year? Will a BRFLer step up and go with the Golden Dome?
Ask Brother Paul what that's like.

BRFL Draft Days

6 days and it's Scott on the clock.
World domination or bankruptcy court, ScoDouche?
No pressure.

AP Poll Arrives August 18

uSwUV_medium[1]

Lester the Molester Loses One

Honey Badger out at LSU. Crazy Les Miles pukes up the LSU party line, like, "we're gonna miss the nutty little bastard but you just can't set buildings on fire and kill babies and stay in school". Nobody's talking about what the "violation of team rules" was. Probably trying to make 5 bucks off his own image or something just as heinous. But the HB is out. Hey, they can win without him. Not. This is why we here at the BRFL front office wait until the AP poll comes out before we get off the jewel encrusted Commissioner's toidy bowl and get serious about research. DAMN the coaches poll. And damn you, Les Miles, Michigan Man wannabee, you say, numbskull. You and your gumbo scumbo can suck eggs. Welcome to Loserville, HatBoy.

Mind Freak Digging the new Blog

Despite a series of BRFL losses that would make Warren Buffet's old man balls shrivel, Mind Freak still researches potential winners for this season. Too bad he's out. This was gonna be his year. First pick in the draft, lots of potential unranked teams likely BCS bowl candidates, and Q back in. She's good for a substantial donation to league members. And the Cleminator is back for more brawlin' and bawlin'. Don't think anyone ever had to pony up some scratch to him. Yep, this was gonna be Mind Freak's year. No doubt.

USA Today/Coaches Poll

Not the AP Poll, but both polls are somewhat similar with the AP having most of August to factor in injuries, arrests, suspensions, Penn State transfers and shrapnel wounds from Charlie Weis' exploding gut.
