Ken Starr has stepped down as Baylor University president and chancellor after an independent report found that the school helped suppress and cover up sexual assault complaints made against Bears football players. Last week, Starr put on embarrassing displays in with both local TV and national media interviews. Shockingly, 14 Baylor supporters have responded by expressing appreciation for Starr through a full-page ad in the Austin American-Statesman.
Most strikingly, the ad thanks Starr for his "exceptional care for students and their well-being."
The bottom of the ad promotes a website that takes you to a contact form where you can send messages to Ken Starr. The people who bought the ad probably want you to use the contact form to wish Starr well, but it seems likely that many people will use it for the opposite purpose.
Eighty-five students are facing disciplinary action over a cheating conspiracy at Ohio State University's nationally prominent veterinary school.
The Columbus Dispatch ( http://bit.ly/1tee6B0 ) reports an investigation began in February after university officials received claims that students at the College of Veterinary Medicine were sharing answers on online take-home tests.
University officials declined to name the courses involved or discuss specifics of the discipline because of student-privacy laws. Punishment for unauthorized collaboration ranges from a warning to dismissal from the school.
Some of the disciplined students are appealing their punishments to the provost's office.
The Office of Academic Affairs is looking into other tests and quizzes at the veterinary school that use the same software as the tests on which the cheating was found. The college also changed some testing practices.
It's over for the Baylor Bears. University President Ken Starr (yes, THAT Kenneth Starr, the Clinton Impeachment guy) will be the next one fired or resigning to "spend more time with family".
Baylor DC (because, of course, we all know Baylor is a defensive team first and foremost) is the interim coach. Good luck finding another good coach in almost June. And good luck with that recruiting. Many decomits already. "Hey, Sonny, come live in Waco, TX and play for somebody other than Art Briles."

Here's to hoping he never sees a dime of his fathers ill gotten money and actually has to work for something in his life. Maybe it will teach him some good things.
